"Trainspotting" and how does it apply to Harry Potter HBP?

Trainspotting is a UK film that's "a black comedy, at times hilarious,
tragic, surreal, brutal and uplifting" - very funny in places but also quite
tragic, looking at a group of heroin users and how their lives are affected,
in several cases destroyed, by it. It contains a couple of very
stomach-churning shocking scenes that are also hilarious, once you stop
retching, like the public lavatory scene.

sex, nudity and some violence."
- "This film is gritty and dirty. There is content which is not pleasant,
swearing and violence [amongst] other things. What else would you expect a
film about drug addiction to be about?"
You know, somehow I'm not convinced about possible parallels between HBP and
Trainspotting... (What was Daniel on when he said that?!!)

with Dan's quote is interesting, and includes a quote from the director
which sounds like he's taking a possibly brave approach to the film, given
terrorist offences over the last few years, art imitating life uncomfortably
closely:
"We're opening with a big attack," he said. "Jo [Rowling] talks about it in
the book, but we're going to show it. We'll bring a major London landmark
crashing down. It should be quite spectacular."
Presumably that's a bridge if they're faithful to the book, though they may
pick on something else like the London Eye (which would 'crash' more
spectacularly than a bridge!)
