I'm re-reading GoF and although it's been mentioned before, it's struck me
as really odd this time about the way the HELF plotline just seems to fizzle
out.

Being appreciative of the way in which JKR obsessively crosses every 'T' and
dots every 'I', I find it hard to believe that this plotline won't be making
a reappearance in one of the future episodes.

Perhaps Dobby will become a revolutionary and lead the House Elves in a
revolt against the established magical families, especially the likes of the
Malfoy's.

Could it be that he turns into a Gollum-like character with a so far
unforeseen role in the ultimate downfall of Voldemort?

BTW, booked my tickets for the film today - 10th November, 4pm, UCI cinema
at the Trafford Centre in Manchester. Counting down the days now. Can hardly
wait.

This is getting scary! ;-)

I just read that UCI Cinemas sold 10,000 tickets in the first hour! The
theatre chain I work for is starting ticket sales this Friday. This looks to
be even bigger than Star Wars Ep.1, and we had people lined up around the
building for that!

I'm frightened, really, really frightened!

I'm expecting a great big final battle in Book 7. I think the SPEW plot
may be setting things up for the House Elves to fight with the good
guys.

Just my guess.

Just got 3 tickets for the UGC Multiplex in Swindon. Went in at lunchtime and
there was no queue ! They have sold a lot of tickets though for the 10th and
11th of November. There should be plenty to go round as they're showing the
film on 5 screens, with about 20 showings a day (including some late night
showings for all those wizarding folk who aren't tucked up in their dormitories
at Hogwarts).

My young (8 year old) daughter can hardly wait. She and a couple of her
friends were extra's in the film (during the scenes shot at Lacock Abbey here
in Wiltshire). She was in Hufflepuff and thinks she could see herself in the
Sunday Times picture of the Great Hall. Local rumour has it that Lacock will
also be used again for CoS filming (guess they'' want to use most of the same
locations for continuity

Counting the days.
