Okay, now that the movie is coming out of friday and it's over two and a half
hours long, there's a question everybody should answer here after they've seen
it. Does this pass the Harry Cohen test?

What is this test? Well, the tale is told that back in the 1930s, Harry Cohen,
the founder and CEO of Columbia pictures was screening a movie....

The director and producer asked him "What Do you think of it HC?"

"Cut a half hour," he replied.

Which half hour?"

"Any half hour. My [fanny] began hurting a half hour before the end of the
film."

So if your backside begins to ache before the end of the film, it flunks, and
if you don't notice that ages have passed sitting in the same seat in the
theater, it's passed.

so please mention whether or not it's passed or not.

Actually, he was Harry Cohn. Also, there have been plenty of long
successful movies. Titanic springs to mind.

That wasn't ELurio's point, Sage. He/she means that if you notice your
rear hurting, the movie isn't good enough because it doesn't absorb you.
If you don't notice, the movie has done its job regardless of its length.
(Titanic lost me after about 15 minutes.)

Half an hour after the film ended, my bum asked if we could go back and see
it again.

Really? So what, were you levitating above the seat? Didn't that annoy the
people sitting behind you?

No, no. My bum was most well behaved during the performance, it was only
when the lights came on and I headed for the exit that it began to get
irritated.

I took it back for another showing the next day and am probably going on
Friday again, just to keep it quiet. It's like having another person stuck
to the back of my head, only further down.

Poor Quirrel, now I know how it must've felt....
