Even if the groups you name were ever particularly distinct, they were
the product of the reproductive isolation of communities, leading to
shallow gene pools, and have intermixed so much that they can no longer
be said to exist in any meaningful form.

Well the human species is divided into races isn't it, but live the
delusion if you like. I suspect living a lie is not entirely alien to
you anyhow.

Race is such an arbitrary construct that calling it meaningful is a lie.
Divide the racial lines along a different set of inherited
characteristics, such as blood type, and the borders of the map move in
strange ways.

But if you prefer inbreeding and birth defects, than go ahead and stay
in that shallow gene pool into which you were born.
