We are watching Half Blood Prince and the video is so dark I
feel like we need night vision goggles to watch it.

Why did they make this movie so dark?

The DVD that i watched it off of, from NetFlix, seemed bright
enough...
But this one seemed to deviate most radically from the book,
especially in very important fine details, and i was particularly
annoyed that they discarded so many throw away special effects that
were the hallmarks of some of the other films...
Such as when Malfoy opens the door of whatever... you never get to see
the door materialize...!
It struck me as the most cheaply made of all the films so far...
Big Disappointment...!

It's good as a film in its own right... and there's no denying it
really... however it just *isn't* the HBP I was hoping for or
expecting. It deviates so far from the storyline as to balance the
thing on a knife edge.

It really was desperately disappointing and does not auger well for
the grand finale we are all hoping for from the last two movies.

Such a shame really.
