So some players of a non-magical Quidditch variant are
planning to rename their sport...in practical reasons because
the Warner Brothers trademark rights to the name impede
their publicity, but they play up their disagreement with
Rowling's (insufficient IMO) hostility to trans-madness.
Some pro-Rowling people at Ovarit are grousing that it
would be just like the "pro-LGBTQ" crowd to use the name
Queerditch...but are they forgetting that's exactly where
Rowling said the name came from,Queerditch Marsh?
Since that's in her charity book and not the films I expect
she'd have a stronger case to sue them if they used the name,
and they'd pay her (or a charity of her choice) if she won
instead of paying WarnerMedia.
I've never been attracted to the sport myself.
But is it better that these people now casting about
for a name for what they play get distanced from
Rowling,or forced to acknowledge their debt to her?

The World Trade Center towers MUST rise again,
at least as tall as before...or terror has triumphed.
