Does anyone know which professor is the Head of Ravenclaw?

I know Professors Sprout, Snape and McGonagall are heads of Hufflepuff,
Slytherin and Gryffindor respectively. However, I'm not sure who heads
Ravenclaw.

I think it's Professor Flitwick but I can't find any passages stating
whether or not his is or isn't. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Scott

Unless you have posted previously under another handle, this
should be your first post, so 'welcome!'
(If you /have/ posted under another handle, just skip the
welcome speech ;-)

Find yourself somewhere to sit - shove some more homework from
a table or a chair - and get some refreshments. Take a look at
the choices for yourself, I am not quite up to what was in that
latest round that was brought up ...

I hope you will enjoy your stay, and make it as long as you
please ;-)

It is indeed Professor Flitwick, but this is not mentioned in the
books, as far as I am aware, but rather in a chat:
<http://www.yahooligans.com/content/chat/jkrowlingchat.html>
about 2/3 down.

You will find this and much else if you visit our FAQ site at
<http://www.hogwarts-library.net/reference/> - for questions
of this sort the Meta-FAQ is probably the easiest reference.
I really do recommend it - also Chris' posting guide.

you got it right from what I here in the interviews. The only other sorce

person who read it to me was telling me the truth.
And JKR did have a say in them.

Heh... she also says this:

wyzeguy719 asks: The first four books have been getting longer, but number 4
was huge! Is number five likely to be shorter than number 4?
jkrowling_bn: Yes, five is going to be shorter than four
jkrowling_bn: I always knew four would be the longest so far
jkrowling_bn: but even I didn't expect it to be that long

I wonder how her perspective has changed and why it ultimately took longer
to tell the upcoming story. I'm not complaining. More Harry=more joy.

I think this has been brought up here recently but I'm too lazy to find the
thread so here ya go....
