Hanson mention in NY Times

In Sunday's NY Times, there is an article about MTV's "Celebrity
Deathmatch" :

"Death Match" first attracted a sizable audience in January, 1998
with a special
"Death Bowl," shown during Super Bowl halftime. (The Spice Girls
brawled with
Hanson for the title of Most Annoying Band in the World.)

I know it's not much, but you take whatever Hanson stuff you can these
days!

Hey, considering that wasn't MTV's first deathmatch, I would say it's
significant that the Hanson episode attracted the first large audience for
the show. They played a crucial part in it's success. :) **Okay, maybe some
Spice Girls fans tuned in too... or those nasty people that wanted to see
Hanson get bloody and dead**
