Strangest thing happened at lunch today. I ended up talking with
someone I had never met, and somehow, got the subject of the
Greaseman, both of us used to live in DC. Anyway, we started
chuckling about some of the old bits, and she started going into an
old IP bit, and adding the song with the above title in it. Was this
a real song? If so, anyone know it? It just cracked me up, and I
would love to find it to listen to, as well as some older Grease bits.

That song was found when I worked at WKYS in Washington. I gave it to Doug
and he made a bit out of it. I'm sorry I cannot remember who the artist
was. It wasn't any group that anyone ever heard of.
You can find a copy of the music bed only at www.98wrc.com Go to the
Greaseman page and from there go to the Greaseman Sound Vault. The file
was recently changed from Real Audio to MP3 for easy downloading.

Enjoy

Ah...perfect. Thanks a lot! I do wish for additional bits. Didn't
Grease do some CDs/tapes during the DC101 days? Maybe I can track
some down. There were some priceless moments. I think I almost died
one winter, driving in snowstorm, I think listening to an "IP Santa
Claus" bit. I started laughing so hard, that I almost lost control of
the car. Funny as hell.

Take care!

The name of that song is "Ya Mama" and it's by a group called Wuf Ticket.
These are apparently two brothers talking to each other as if they wern't
related. I remember the Grease did a bit when a guy walks into a very
glitzy restaurant with his date and whenever he would ask the Maitre'd for
a special table or a glass of wine the Maitre'd would say "Ya Mama!"...or
was that the "dat is baaaaad, baaaad BAAAAADD!" shtick?

Thats right! I said ya Mama!

You are doing a search for a track title on a CD - do the search on a site that
sells CD's!

Go to Amazon.com or barnesandnoble.com or CDnow.com and type in Ya Mama and sit
back and see what hapens. Better yet, look for Prelude's Mastermixes Vol. II
and Track 8 is what you are looking for.

If this requires more internet than you want to handle, I'll send you the MP3.
