I used to visit this group daily in anticipation of a good laugh. Now I look
maybe once a week, cringing in case it's full of trolls and perverts.

It happens from time to time. Wierdos descend on a group and try to kill it.

Why?

Either they are just loons or there is a hidden agenda to kill Usenet as it is
not controllable by 'them'

Cuz I wanted to ask a question. Many a Goon Show ends with Wal saying
'It's all in the mind, you know.' Presumably it was a current saying.
But who said it first, and in connection with what?

I never presumed it was a current saying. I always presumed it was a
Milligan invention. Then again, it was me who first said "Dr. Shipman, I
presume?"

On the basis of no evidence what so ever, I had supposed it was some
cod-psychology thing.

time this PC crashed and I had to use system reece-tor and re-install
