1905: EDWARD INNES, who played Brigadier General Prescott in "The
Angry Red Planet", is born in Quebec.


1906: JOHN CARRADINE, who played Dr. John Rayburn in the U.S. release
of "Half Human: The Story of the Abominable Snowman", is born in New
York City. He had major supporting roles in such John Ford classics as
"Stagecoach", "The Grapes of Wrath", and "The Man Who Shot Liberty
Valance" as well as such films as "The Unearthly" and "Billy the Kid
vs. Dracula". Carradine was the father of actors David, Keith, and
Robert Carradine and grandfather of actress Martha Plimpton.


1915: HAL TOREY, who was in "War of the Colossal Beast" and played Mr.
Simpson in "Earth vs. the Spider", is born in Georgia.


1944: YOSUKE AKIMOTO, who played Mecha Robo Commander/Dr. Yoshimura on
"Super Robot: Red Baron", is born. He was also in Episodes 37 & 38 of
"Kikaida", Shushiro Shiranui on Episode 32 of "Dinosaur Task Force:
Koseidon", and Episode 32 of "Ultraman 80", and was the voice of Lord
Alberto on "Giant Robo: The Animation".


1951: RYUSEI NAKAO, who played Kaya (Amanojaku) on the "School of
Ghosts" TV series, is born in Tokyo.


1952: YOSHINORI KANADA, inbetween artist on "One Who Loves Justice:
Moonlight Mask" and animator on "Dinosaur War Aizenborg", is born in
Nara, Japan.


1955: KENJI OBA is born in Aichi, Japan. He performed stunts on
"Jumping Out, Android Kikaida", "Kikaida", and "Kikaida 01" (as Shadow
Knight, also playing a cowboy actor on Episode 19), and went on to
play Shiro Akebono/Battle Kenya on "Battle Fever J", Daigoro Oume/
Denzi-Blue on "Electronic Squadron Denziman", Retsu Ichijojo a.k.a.
"Space Sheriff Gavan", "Space Sheriff Sharivan" and "Space Sheriff
Shaider: Pursuit! Shigi Shigi Abduction Plan", Yajiro Yiho on “World
Ninja War Jiraiya”, and Dan on "Beast Fist Squadron Gekiranger", and
was in "Super Manchine: Metalder", "High-Speed Squadron Turboranger",
"Kamen Rider ZO", and "Battle Royale II".


1960: "The Mysterians" is released in West Germany.


1965: ARABELLA FIELD, who played Lucy Palotti in "Godzilla", is born
in New York City.


1967: Episode 30 of "Ultraman", "Phantom of the Snow-Mountain", debuts
on Japanese TV.


1969: DEREK STEPHEN PRINCE is born in Los Angeles. He was the voice of
Noxic on "Big Bad Beetleborgs"; Auric the Conqueror, Digster, and
Staroid on "Power Rangers Zeo"; Elgar on "Turbo: A Power Rangers
Movie", "Power Rangers Turbo", and "Power Rangers in Space";
Treacheron on "Power Rangers Lost Galaxy" and "Power Rangers Lost
Galaxy: Return of the Magna Defender"; Ichiro a.k.a. Kikaider 01 on
"Kikaider 01: The Animation"; Jetara on "Power Rangers Time Force";
and Tire Org on "Power Rangers Wild Force".

Japanese TV.

1989: Episode 14 of "Kamen Rider Black RX", "Hitomi-Chan's
Kidnapping", debuts on Japanese TV.


1996: HIDEO OGUNI, who wrote the screenplay for "Warning from Space",
dies.
Episode 34 of Season 3 of "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers", "Alien
Rangers of Aquitar: Part 1", debuts on Fox.

2000: Episode 138 of "Godzilla: The Series", "Area 51", premieres on
Fox.

2003: "The Ring" is released in Belgium, France, and the French-
speaking region of Switzerland.

2005: "Power Rangers S.P.D." premieres in the U.S. with the first two
episodes, "Beginnings (Part 1 and Part 2)".
“Chakushin ari 2” (“You’ve Got a Call 2”) a.k.a. “One Missed
Call 2” premieres in Japan in Tokyo.
