1847: "Dracula" author BRAM STOKER is born in Dublin. His classic
vampire novel was the inspiration for Toho's "Lake of Dracula" and
"Evil of Dracula", among many other films.


1949: PAUL TAGAWA, who played Peter in "Sayonara Jupiter", is born in
Tokyo.


1951: MINORU INABA, narrator on "B-Fighter" and the voice of Tokuda on
the "Ambassador Magma" anime, is born.


1952: HUGH PROSSER, who played a doctor in "The Beast From 20,000
Fathoms", dies in a road accident in Gallup, N.M.


1962: WILLIS H. O'BRIEN, who did the stop-motion effects on the
original "King Kong", "Son of Kong", "Mighty Joe Young", and "The
Giant Behemoth", dies from a heart attack in Los Angeles.
