1918: JOJIRO OKAMI, who wrote the stories for "The Mysterians",
"Battle in Outer Space", "Gorath", and "Dogora the Space Monster", is
born in Osaka.

1929: FUMIO WATANABE, who played Komuro in "Tokyo Blackout", is born
in Tokyo.

1939: RON RIFKIN, who played Dr. Waterson in the U.S. version of
"Pulse", is born in New York City. His other roles include "The Sting
II", "Wolf", "Tadpole", "Dragonfly", and "Alias".

1958: TIM BOGGS, dialog/ADR supervisor on the U.S. version of "Dark
Water", is born in Bartlesville, Okla.

1961: PETER JACKSON, producer, director, and writer of the 2005 remake
of "King Kong" (in which he appears as a gunner), is born in Pukerua
Bay, New Zealand. The man behind the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, his
other films include "Bad Taste", "Meet the Feebles", "Braindead",
"Heavenly Creatures", "Forgotten Silver", and "The Frighteners". His
wife, Frances Walsh, is his co-writer and producer.

1966: Episode 18 of "The Space Giants", "The Strange Living
Mannequins", (a.k.a. "The Terror Monster"), debuts on Japanese TV.

1973: Episode 18 of "Super Robot: Red Baron", "Look! The End of Red
Baron", debuts on Japanese TV.

1980: Episode 3 of "Kamen Rider Super-1", "Go! Dogma's Gold Mine at
Land’s End", debuts on Japanese TV.

1981: Episode 38 of "Solar Squadron Sunvulcan", “Hyou, Asao’s Father”,
debuts on Japanese TV.

1987: Episode 36 of "Aura Squadron Maskman", "Obliterated! The Twin
Girl Destroyers", debuts on Japanese TV.

1995: Episode 18 of Season 3 of "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers",
"Changing of the Zords: Part 1", debuts on Fox.

1998: Episode 9 of "Ultraman Gaia", "Seagull Fly High", debuts on
Japanese TV.

2005: "Power Rangers S.P.D." premieres in the U.K.
