One person who will not be at the £500,000 wedding of Victoria (quotes)
Adams and David Beckham this weekend is former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell.
It is not clear whether she was invited - she said not, later Victoria said
she was - but Ginger Spice claims she is too busy playing Party In The Park
in London to attend the Dublin wedding.
Posh Spice Victoria, 25, the peacemaker of the group, is the only one who
met Geri after she walked out on the band last spring.

Castle dream KO'd
JOHN MAHONEY
LOVEBIRDS Posh Spice and David Beckham's dreams of marrying in a
fairytale castle were dashed yesterday.
Britain's hottest couple can't legally say "I do" this weekend inside
the spectacular and romantic Luttrellstown Castle on the outskirts of
Dublin.
Neither the Church of Ireland nor the registrar for civil marriages in
Dublin will have anything to do with Sunday's £500,000 star-spangled
ceremony - because the couple simply didn't meet three basic
requirements to wed in the Guinness capital.
Neither has lived in Dublin County for the last 15 days.
They haven't given three months notice to wed.
And they did not post their marriage banns at least 22 days ago.
But still 500 guests are booking their tickets to fly in and celebrate
Spice Girl Victoria Adams marrying the 24-year-old Manchester United and
England midfield star.
That means 25-year-old Posh and Becks will have to tie the knot
privately in England then jet out to the 18th Century castle, 11 miles
north of Dublin, for a marriage blessing.
Hannah Conway, deputy registrar for civil marriages, told the Daily Star
yesterday: "We don't do hotel or castle weddings.
"Obviously the David Beckham marriage has been the talk of the city for
some weeks. But we are not involved, and nobody is conducting any
service on a civil level from here.
"You have to remember that there are very stringent requirements to get
married in Dublin, either by licence or civil ceremony."
And a spokesman for the Church of Ireland communications director
Valerie Jones confirmed: "Yes, we've heard the rumours too.
"But the banns are not up, notice has not been given and to the best of
our knowledge we are without any knowledge of involvement in the wedding
of these two people."
Among the megastars jetting into Dublin for the ceremony will be George
Michael and Elton John - both of whom will sing inside the castle.
Not everyone from the triumphant treble-winning Manchester United squad
is on the guest list - but players who will be arriving include Ryan
Giggs, Nicky Butt, Yapp Stam, Ronny Johnsen and of course, best man Gary
Neville. One absent guest will be Geri Halliwell who is ducking the
showbiz wedding of the decade to avoid a scary Spice Girls cat-fight.
Posh is the only Spicer who still feels at ease talking to Ginger, who
quit the world's top girl band after a massive fall-out with Mel C, Mel
G and Baby Spice Emma Bunton.
Now it emerges that privately both Ginger and Posh agree its probably
best that Geri misses the spectacular, which culminates in a champagne
and fireworks reception.
Last night a Spice Girls' source revealed: "There could be tension if
they all meet up again.
"Tempers on all sides have been more than strained since she left, as
you can imagine.
"A lot of words have been said. But the bottom line is that Geri wishes
Victoria and David the very, very best."
Yesterday, tight security kept onlookers away at the giant security
gates of the castle, which can't be seen from the road. But delivery men
unloaded a red carpet at the security gates which will be spread out in
all its glory when guests arrive on Sunday afternoon. They will be
driven around a lake where OK! magazine have the £1million rights to
snap Becks, Posh, baby Brooklyn and all the guests.
The couple, worth £20m, will fly from England by private jet, then take
a chartered helicopter to the castle grounds.
The newlyweds will then snuggle up together in the castle's Royal Suite
which costs £10,000 a day to hire.
