This is true! Car alarms are one instance where we've come so used to
hearing those that nobody really pays attention to them. Here in
Little Rock, they sound an air raid siren at 12 noon on Wednesdays.
When I first came here, it took some getting used to but after a few
months, I hardly noticed. Imagine if the enemy attacked at 12 noon on
Wednesday?
