The Ku-Band is fine..the shortwave is good..

But when I use my RealPlayer I hear and see static but when I use WMP
v.10 the picture is O.K.but there is a "talking in a barrel" sound and
some times there is a drop in the internet transmission. Unlike what
some of you think I want to see and know where the problem is
(TV,Internet,shortwave)and be able to describe what I see and hear from
the various medias before I call a VOF.( I have called when the website
has crashed just like I assume leaves has in the past)SIO

SIO.... WMP provides a better picture for me too, and it says it has a
higher bit rate compared to Real Player, 96 vs 80 kb. WMP often drops out
though during Sunday service and has to rebuffer, while Real Player always
keeps working... just readjusts itself downward in bandwidth sometimes,
usually plays at 80 kb though. I have a Comcast cable connection.

Scotty, what you describe has always been the difference between Real
player and Windows media Player. It works the same way on my PC. The
picture is usually clearer on WMP, but the sound is that "barrel" sound
you describe. It's the opposite with real player or Realalternative.
Better sound , but dark picture.

I noticed that too...there has allways been a difference in the KBs of
the 2 players playing the University Network.SIO

SIO.... I have the free version of Real Player. I wonder if the upgraded
version is better as an incentive to buy it. WMP comes as a full version.
I wonder if that is the difference? Anybody have the full version of Real
Player and made a comparison?
