It isn't freedom to walk into a church and listen to some unskilled amateur in the word of God tell you that you must surrender and hand over ten percent of your income to their church or them. That isn't freedom, it's terrible bondage...AND A LIE.
Ergo;
Hebrews 5:12-14 - "For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."
THE TRUTH...
It's important to God that Christian giving always be voluntary. It's not a tax or an obligation. A gift of money or anything else is only called a gift when the giver is not obligated to hand it over. The second truth about giving in this verse is this: God loves cheerful givers...
2 Corinthians 9:7 - "Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity [PRESSURED IN ANY MANNER]: for God loveth a cheerful giver."
