The word "tithe" means "tenth; tenth part." But a tenth part of what?
Genesis 14:16-23 - tithe of war spoils, not from Abraham's personal wealth, no monetary tithe requirement mentioned
Genesis 28:20-22 - Jacob vows to give God a tenth of all God will give him, no monetary tithe requirement mentioned

Not one verse in the entire Bible says that a tenth of ones' money is required to be given to the House of God.
2 Timothy 4:2-4 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Ministers of the Gospel are to preach the word...not their opinion of what they think the word should say.
The Bible is where sound doctrine is found. One has to go outside the boundaries of Scripture in order to teach a monetary tithe requirement. The monetary tithe requirement doctrine is totally foreign to the pages of the Bible.
