Dear Disney:
It has come to our attention that your recent movies are not furry, and
furry movies which you have released were not up to par. This is a
signifigant change from past projects that you have done.
In light of this, we have kidnapped Mickey Mouse and are holding him at
a secret location.
We demand that you cater to our needs, specifically:
1) More *good* furry movies, with real plots instead of rehashed stories
that we've already heard/seen.
2) More vixens.
3) Less "bursting into song at the drop of a hat."
4) More vixens.
5) Better furry action figures.
6) More vixens.
7) More action, less soppy love-stories.
8) More vixens, specifically large breasted ones with vapid expressions.
If our demands are not met within 48 hours Mickey will be re-marketed as
"Mousekateer Munchies - with a tail in every box!" We await your
response.

Well, let's see... I think it's silly to compare an amatuerish fandom with a
multibillion dollar media giant like Disney. But.. Furries are like Disney?
No, they are pretty much more profitable and more professional. I don't
think Eisner ever tries to sell Disney product by talking about his by-pass
surgery. Comparing Disney artists to furry artists is like comparing GM's
engineers with kids who build soapbox racers. Kicking their ass? They prolly
don't even notice and if they did, they'd retaliate by cashing their huge
paychecks and snickering. Original? Heh. Disney rips off mythes and public
domain stories. Furries rip off Disney and Warner Bros toons. Hmmm... Seems
kinda equal in the originality department. But that's just my OPINION.

10) Let's get those skunks back in play! They haven't had a good one

Also has crossover potential to reach those new fans who might have liked
furries except for not being into characters with fur all over them.
Tarzan is an anthropomorphic character with less fur than almost any
of 'em, except for maybe the "scalies". :X)

(Disclaimer: Anybody who think Disney makes their decisions based on what
.01 percent of their audience (aka furry fandom) wants is just being silly.
They have anthro animal characters because of the millions and millions
of non-fandom folks that'll see the movies and buy the toys, not because
of the few thousand furry fans that also will. They do seem to have a
general policy of "when we do a movie with human main characters, throw
in some cute animals that have merchandising potential". See Meeko and
Flit in Pocohantas, the pegasus in Hercules, etc.)
(Disclaimer disclaimer: Of course they'll never find any way to squeeze
any animal characters into a story like Tarzan. That'd be too much of a
stretch considering the original source material. :X)
Who knows?
I saw some preview books from it at the BEA (Book Expo America. A publishing
trade show) today, and I didn't see a whole lot of animals except some stupid
looking elephants and the apes. There was a cool looking leopard, but it
doesn't seem to play a very big role.

About 3 years ago I downloaded form somewhere, a list of Disney's
animated projects till the year 2002. None of them were furry. So far
the list has been accurate ('Legend of Mulan', with Eddy Murphy as a
Dragon, followed by Antz (but it was called Bugz, I think) and Tarzan
(there is a furry cameo, I think, but I forget what.) The only furry
sounding one was something about Dinosaurs passing on knowledge to
Lemurs, who are the ancestors of humanity - sorry, I forget what
that's called.) The only inacurracies in that list so far have been
the sequels to Lion King and Pocahontas. I could try to find it again
if anyone wanted to see it.
>We're aware that RobinHood(their finest ever) was rehashing,
Oh, no.. no,no,no,no. If ever there was a case for the statement that
furries will forgive poor quality so long as there's an attractive
morph involved, that film has got to be it. Critically it's usually
regarded as the low-point of Disney's post-Walt slump. (Fox and the
Hound is sometimes cited as evidence of their recovery, though.)

OK, here some skoops....
About 3 weeks ago (after the debauch at San Diego) I sat thru the
"Dailys" at Big "D" studios.
Where I saw most if not all of Tarzan...its gonna be good! Furries or
no furries...and besides it has almost half the movie with talking
animals...is that Anthro and Furry enough for you?
OK, they also showed the progress of "Dinosaurs"
Think Pixar great 3D realist animation. Very cool looking but Im not
sure it can hold interest for 2 hrs.
Next, also saw so of Fantasia 2000, this was a very Furry section
with a winged girl and then into a stag on moutain...just goureous!
Others at the dailies were: Rapsody in Blue ....very 1930 retro
cartoon with the Gershwin music, why wasnt this done for F2000? Good
question for which I go no good answer.
And the other was very early test work for "John Henry's Hammer"
Disneys PC entry to please AfroAmericans....but it looks real nice.
Now for some word of projects that will be coming up, and this is
where the FURRY part does come in.
Disney has started the early work for Kingdom(empire) of the Sun, its
about the Maya/Inca/Toltec, take your pick. More PC for the South
Americans?
Anyways first it was going to be a straight human story now I am told
the main human character, now get this, get changed into a talking
Llamma !!
Anyways that my take on the Disney doesnt do Furry debate.
Any questions?
And again, I say Tarzan is going to ROCK!
But I will still wait with baited breath for the American release of

Erf! If this is true, I'm going to have to pitch a fit in the theatre (of

principles... gorillas are African, lemurs are from MADAGASCAR! You
know, that big island *next to* Africa? Rrrf. I s'poze, if they really
wanted to stretch it, they could have some lemurs who had floated over to
the continent or something. I guess I could deal with that. If there are
