Whatever happened to Wallace Tripp?

I just came across this, so forgive me if I'm repeating something
someone may have posted earlier.

Children's book illustrator Wallace Tripp, known for his whimsical
anthropomorphic illustrations, has retired from drawing due to
Parkinson's Disease. His books include "Grandfa Grig Had a Pig and
Other Rhymes Without Reason from Mother Goose", "A Great Big Ugly Man
Came Up and Tied His Horse to Me: A Book of Nonsense Verse" and
"Wallace Tripp's Wurst Seller".

*cry* Whiffert started me on his books with the Wurst Seller,
so I went on an ebay binge and bought all the books I could find.
I think he even sold things on Cafe Press like greeting cards.
