"While fantasizing about training animals to start a band, Jon Singer
decided to launch a human ragtime band that parades as other species
(like the Banana Splits) - so a year ago, Xylopholks was born. Singer
appears as xylophone player "Skunky," alongside his sidekick "Pink
Gorilla" on upright bass.... 'We enjoy the completely NY experience of
folks casually walking by as if pink gorillas and skunks are always
playing on the platforms.'" etc.
I've yet to see these folks myself, but when I do I'm going to invite
them to the next furcon.
THey dont wear full headpeices it seems...xylophone 1920's jazz??

So furry is just another gang?
Thugs in animal costumes?
Interesting. Tell me how this improves the fandoms image?

I agree with you - humorless thugs at that. The jokes the reporter was
making weren't half bad. (Some people thought the piece was positive
overall - go figure.)
Viewer response was split, actually, with a narrow majority figuring it
poked more fun at insensitive reporters than at furry fandom.
Compared to the CSI or whatever episode it had to be better.

Voting day however isn't for another few days. Rest assured though, when the
time comes, if there are any werewolves
of your aquaintance that are having trouble getting their boxes properly
stuffed, I'll be more than happy to oblige.

Nicely sexualized.
Unfamiliarity with The Classics noted and gaped at.
It's gratifying to know you feel threatened by me though.

Ah...probably because I never actually watched the show.
I would see others watching it and wonder what the hell the draw was.
I was reading scifi during the period it aired.
