All right, Paul Bennett's logic has swayed me. I will STILL post items of
NON political interest to furries, but will leave the Bush bashing to my own
efforts and not post them to this newsgroup.

Oh I don't know. Sex and which side of the plate the fork goes on seems to

No way all one has to do is type the following three letters and a
flame will occur Z-O-O. Then if you want to type more letters try
'Burned Furs' or even better there was a article on furry in/on
(insert any media company or type here). That is with out breaking a
sweat.

I am an independant so my guy is never in office. I Encourage any
snide remarks or perosnal assides that ANY one fur or not wants to
make about any member of the govenment in ANY group. Just as long as
you don't go too far out of your way. My belief is that it the post
feels like it belongs on a political or reliegious newsgroup, please
post it there otherwide. Otherwise, its all fair.

To do anything else is a violation of the free spirit that is at the
heart of the internet.

And yes Bush is a corrupt president, the republicans are hypocrits and

a 'crazy aunt in the attic' and our highest elected offical was an
ex-wrestler. I think that covers it all.

Then there's whether the toilet paper should be over or under the roll...

Ron, prefers under...

It's nice to think people can exhibit the kind of self-restraint you
described...but then reality sets in and you get the same number of
posts you would otherwise.
I'm assuming people discuss the politics and such here because this is
where they hang out, why go to a site where you don't know each other
or where there might be a 'serious' debate. You usually focus your
griping and issues where you hang your hat.

I can't say I'd always be able to show the restraint to not respond to
comments but I think I can keep from starting such threads.

Duh, over. Keeps the TP off the wall and makes it easier to spin the
roll for TP in the case of thin, easily torn TP.

Unless you have cats and don't have the problem of paper on wall. In that
case, under - because if the cats want to paw at it and unroll it, it's
now more difficult.

I remember the years of putting the toilet paper on "backwards" so the
obsessive-compulsive cat wouldn't unroll it. Then we moved to a house
that has the holder mounted to the inside of the door of the cabinet
opposite the toilet.

We're not sure what the previous resident was thinking when he did that...
either he had cats too, or he just liked confusing guests.

As to which sida a' with toilet paper..
The only thing I have to say is...
All I care about is whether or not the roll is handy when I need it.

They're already slightly confused by the spare rolls, kept on a shelf
~5' above the floor, on the same wall as the toilet... you can see it
reflected in the mirrors above the sink, but it's inconveniently-to-
impossibly high for a seated person to reach. We often find one of the
spare rolls left on the counter (less often, replaced on the shelf but
clearly "started") after a newbie's been to the house all the same.

We've considered getting a tiny little nicely-engraved plaque to go on
that cabinet. Brass would complement the light oak cabinetry, but the
fixtures are chrome, so I'm undecided...

I don't have the problem of "paper on wall", I'm not sure I've ever even
seen that. And I do have 3 cats in the house. But I STILL prefer over,
because the cats don't unroll it - and I do, when I want to use some. Why
make it more difficult for myself? Our cats did claw up and partially
unroll some when they were kittens, but only spare rolls they got ahold of,
never ones that were on the holder. I have noticed that my housemates will
for some reason almost never put a new roll on the holder when the old one
rolls out, but will just pick up the spare roll off the back of the toilet,
use it, and put it back there. I've never asked them why this is. They
perform many chores which are far more difficult and time consuming - this
being the easiest, quickest, and least unpleasant of all household chores,
I do it without hesitation almost every time opportunity presents itself.
