COMICS ARTIST CREATES FIFTH STORY
Small press comic keeps getting bigger in story
Comics creator Max West unleashes his top-drawer talent once more in
the latest release of the illustrious comics series, Sunnyville
Stories.
Sunnyville Stories episode 5, titled "Dance Hall Days", is a high-
energy comic, packing a story with twice the power of the
competition. Boasting a dazzling cover by guest artist Steven Martin
of Santa Ana, CA, this avant-garde piece makes comics fans do an about-
face.
In this 36-page story, our imaginative hero Rusty Duncan is forced to
attend a local dance by his well-meaning parents. This resilient
feline quickly turns to jelly at this decision since he can't dance.
It's up to his friend, Samantha "Sam" Macgregor, to help him get ready
for the dance and not make a fool of himself.
"When writing this story, I tapped into universal experiences of how
anxious we might be when facing a new situation," West explains, "I'm
sure many readers out there can relate to that."
Sunnyville Stories episode 5 is available at Indy Planet for US$3.99.
The other installments of Max West's cutting-edge series are also
available.
If you haven't tried Sunnyville Stories lately, you're in for a
surprise.
