Sorry for the screaming but I just HAVE to mention this one more time - and
come to think of it, this is the LAST time I am going to bring this up.

Okay, everyone listening?

I AM NOT LEAVING FURRY FANDOM!

Does everyone understand that now? I don't know how a request to remove my
erotic artwork off the net twisted into a "Daphne Lage is leaving furry
fandom" rumor but judging from the amount of people who have e-mailed me
with that comment, I guess it happened *really* quickly.

Well, for those of you interested, you can breath a sigh of relief. I am NOT
leaving Furry Fandom, I am NOT ending my "furry art" career, I am NOT the
victim of any burned fur/anti-burned fur propaganda, and I am NOT the victim
of ANY "anti-furry" sentiment perpetrated by mundane employers. All I am
doing is removing my erotic art content from the net. No more, no less. I'm
still drawing erotica but it's just going to be more "private" now.

Okay?

Thank you. *phew!*

Well ... great! I like your comic and your art and I'm glad you're
staying. ^_^ It just makes sense for an artist to control what they put
on their web. As has been demonstrated in other threads, it's easy for
people to snatch stuff off archives, etc.

FWIW: I did a search for your name on one of those search engines. The
results it displayed were mainly those links for your personal site and
general furry resources/archives. You came across as quite respectable
and professional ...I think a prospective employer would be impressed.

And I didn't really know you did much erotica. The most extreme I've
ever seen from you were a few sensuous nudes.

Best of luck with your job search;
J. J.

*rolls her eyes and snugs Shorty* I know how that goes, hon. I've been
telling folks the same darned thing since my announcement here and on the
FurryMuck boards. It's like I've said, word spreads fast and in the game of
telephone it always gets jumbled.

Nowhere do you and I say that we're leaving or no longer doing anthro art.
But somehow it always ALWAYS if an artist stops doing something long taken
for granted, they're automatically seen as leaving the fandom or hating the
fans. *rolls eyes*

[snip of what Daphne is and isn't doing]

Best of luck getting that thru to them, hon. And get ready to be hit with
accusations of hypocrisy, too. *wry smile* No matter how much you say it
or how loud, what you mean will not actually be *heard* by all of who do.
There's always someone who has their own interpretation of what you really
mean or the whys. *shrugs*

*snugs Daphne*

Silly Daphne.
It's because furry fandom EXISTS on erotic artwork.
If people can't find spooge from ya, they figure you may as well not exist.
ergo, no longer in the fandom.

See?

Really? Is that why I'm buying Tall Tails? I thought it was because of
the
good story and well-drawn art. I guess that's also the reason why I didn't
buy
the nude specials ....

P.S.: Daphne, keep up the good work. More Raulph the Destroyer!
