A not-so mythological story that's become a common point of reference in the
fandom.

Some person that will be nameless (hopefully forever) contacted Steve
Gallaci about a commission. As the subject, he wanted Erma Felna doing
something naughty with a crowbar. That's probably all the detail necessary:
use your imagination :)

The story got out, and Furry Fandom then had a brand new bit of lore to play
with. It shows up whenever something involving Innapropriate Requests does.

While talking to Shawntae in The Zoo the last night of the con I watched him
do his final sketchbook pics. One of the books was the "Crowbar" theme. I
believe the pic in this case was Scarlet twisting a crowbar into a knot.

Thanks a lot, I never figured out the real meaning of this, it's very
funny and thank God that Gallacci-sama kicked that guy out. '_'

One followup is that Steve has done some joke parodies of the the original
request, like Erma naked in a bar full of crows...

Well....................

Steve finally actually DID do the "Erma with a crowbar" picture.
Seriously!
She's bare-assed naked, with a crowbar!

Actually, a certain fan who shall not be named here came up to Steve
Gallacci and made one of his stereotypical innappropriate requests...
The actual request he made isn't as important as the fact that Steve was
visibly disturbed by it. Jim Groat, who was sitting at a table next to
Steve, also heard this request, and walked up in front of Steve's doing
his best lecherous fanboy impersonation and asked "Can you do Erma...
heh-heh... naked... ummm... with a crowbar... heh-heh-heh." That was
the first reference to that particular scene, and it has propogated into
ongoing gags since.

Anyhoo... that's the version of the story that I'm familiar with.

Huh! I heard that it was Captain Noogie who left the anime
circuit for a brief time, and that S.G. was so repelled he
chased said fanboy out of the con with the crowbar he keeps

A variation I heard was that this happened back when SDCC tables went for $50
each, so do the math (Jim & Steve were sharing a table, of course). The Certain
Fan made a request for a picture of Erma "naaaakid" - and when Steve declined,
Jim whipped out a quick sketch on the back of a business card of Erma & that
crowbar doin' the wild thang, and gave it to him, to Steve's distress.

What happened to this historical artwork? I suspect the Fan's mom found it in the
bathroom & flushed it, no doubt. <tsk> critics...

This is just one of those stories that improves with time, I guess.

I'm just going on the original story, in fact I read it here in a.f.f. years

Well, it's like I've said about Doug Winger.
Both of you are great. Definately both you and Doug have a lot of skill.
Unfortunately, sometimes your subject matter can gross out Larry Flynt!
<grin>

I'm rather partial myself to the "pinup" type drawings, mostly swimsuit and
cheesecake nudes.
"Fatalis" is good at that, in fact some of your's and Doug's "pinups" are
damm good too.

Actually, I think Eric did a pic like that a LONG time ago in my old "Sex and
Violence/Sweetness and Light" sketchbook. Amy bending over (panty shot) and
whacking some guy over the head with a giant wrench (Complete with him being
accordian-folded.) Egad, it's from 1992!

Right here in my sketchbook. It's a finished sketchbook though. I brought it

Maybe I'll take it to ConiFur and keep it on the art show table.

Ooh its the giant wrench! I recall seeing Eric's animation of Amy
