For all the analogies to other stories and movies, I liked it for its
own merits. The owls as the central cast is different and refreshing
to watch. It was grimer and darker than I and I'd say a few parents in
the theater thought would be. I made it a bit more mature.

As for the story, it was the usual good vs evil. I more than enjoy a
well done story featuring such triumphs. The imagery was spectacular.
As to bullet time... EVERYBODY does bullet time because it seems to
attract audiences. So many effects ( and music scores like hip hop
where it doesn't make sense) are like that. I just wait until people
tire and move on to the next trendy effect.
All in all I came out smiling.
