THe new offering about some kid "whos dad is a dragon" on Cartoon Network is
pretty good. If you like teen angst peppered with some explosion-laden fight
scenes all done up in pretty CGI. The bit where his mom attempts to explain how
the kid was conceived was un-necessary as it made my head hurt trying to figure
out how cross species fetilization could possibly be viable.
And there were some bad plot line transitions that left me going "wtf"?

Your post which just appeard, twice, is dated for last week.
Hmmm...anyway its (Firebreather) better than the live action dreck Cartoon
Network has been resorting to lately.
But not as good as what they can do with 15 minutes in Regular Show!

Oh yeah!

My newsserver's a little dodgy. It went up the other day and I thought
it ate both posts.

No argument about the live action. What part of cartoon network do they
not understand?

As for the show itself, seen better, seen worse. First time I can recall
see the word kaiju actually used in a western show.
I'm sure Ken Sample and Co. are wetting them themselves.

I really want to know how the logistics of that crossbreeding thing
works though. Invitro? Elfin magic? Size change? Size _play_?

Its cheapnis...I'd bet that for the same amount of air time an animated cartoon
is more expensive. Especially when you use unknown actors for the live action
stuff.

Ahhhhhhh...not safe for C.N. age veiwers to ponder.
My twisted mind could flesh out the details though, easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Its got its formulaic side; Beavis & Butthead, but with some really odd sci-fi
style storylines & plot elements.

Either they're working on new episodes or it got shitcanned...since I havnt
seen it advertized lately and it isnt on AFAIK.
Compared to intelligent shows like 'Regular Show' or 'MAD' or 'Robotomy' its
just eyecandy and teen angst writ large. Its nothing but pretty escapism that
wont make kids think or hone their sense of satire.

As I understood it, it was only ever meant to be a short movie, though perhaps they're considering future episodes.

So it would seem. Apparently its based on a comic book.
