for rallying the necessary support in a then not-so-much internet
world - a name to this asteroid now offiicially called zappafrank.

I am reminded of someone posting a question to Dr. John some years
back (possibly on this newsgroup) where he was asked "When is Planet
Zappafrank most easily visible from earth?"

John's wonderful reply: "About 30 seconds before impact."

Roberts giving the New Zealand slender mudshark (oops, sorry! that
should read mud skipper) the scientific name Zappa confluentus.

Oddly enough, (3834) Zappafrank's next perihelion(*) will
occur on December 21st, this year.

The choice of this minor planet, with this particular orbit
was intentional? Or it is just another indication that the
Eons Are Closing?
