Zappa never used a mellotron?

Gmedia makes a software version of a mellotron.

at this site, they state that a sound bank was
specially made for Zappa. Anyone know what
they are referencing?

Boy I sure don't, I even have that "Tape Bank vol. 2" though I'm too
lazy to try to figure out if I could recognize any sounds. The only
thing I can think of is that "recorded for" and "used by" Frank Zappa
are two different things. Maybe he was afraid of getting lumped in
with those English prog groups.
