Frank Vincent Zappa was born on the winter solstice of December 21,
1940, in Baltimore, Maryland. He died from prostate cancer on December
4, 1993, in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 52, which
coincidentally or not, was the average human lifespan as calculated on
the pre-columbian Mesoamerican calendar system.
He is still missed by those of us who knew him, as well as fans and
admirers from all over the world.
I always went to sleep a little better each night knowing Frank was out
there fighting for our freedoms. I don't sleep very well these days.
