There were 4 nights, only the night with the twirly girlies
was videotaped.

Yes, the Swedish broadcast (I think it has aired in other countries too.
Germany? Canada?) has Stevie Vai's beautiful I Promise Not To Come In Your
Mouth. Wonder if it was the title that kept it from being on the releases? It
also has Vai's Sofa and the duet with Dweezil in Dirty Love but these are on
the official video too, right?
The other guest performances I know of, that aren't on either video were
Warren DeMartini (I'm The Slime, Dirty Love, Bamboozled By Love), Denny Walley
(Bamboozled By Love, I think) and Alan The Sound Guy (I Come From Nowhere),
and last but not least, FZ's niece belching in Dirty Love (think it's the same
guy who was sampled into the synclavier and can be heard on MAJNH).

Zappa's niece was a guy? I knew he was weird, but this .... ?

Anyone got a copy of this. Drooling ...
Want it want it want it ,,,, ...
Sofa is not on the video , cause Vai totally re did his guitar in the
studio for the CD release. It should be on the SWEDISH vid though. Tiz
why I want it...
Some books claim, WARREN CUCCORULLO and also BOBBY MARTIN played too.
Is this true or just a mistake on they're parts as I suspect ?

Nope, Warren & Bobby weren't there.... on the long version of the video,
Alan the sound guy does sing(?) on I Come From Nowhere

Anyone notice how fantastic the sound quality is on the ZU CD ?
I think it's fabulous.....much more sound range and bite than many
other CD's I've heard to date. Simply a genius job on the mastering
and mixing board, although it was done in about an hour.
Verve must have used a $1,000,000 recording gig.
Im not sure many would agree. I suspect you just like the heavy rock
sound this band had, which was very unlike the normal ZAPPA versions at
times. I loved it too. Sad thing is many involved in this project feel
really cheated by it. Mike Keneally in particular. ( Poor shop window )
. Hehe. I for one love the sound, esp' Black Page #2 which really drives
along. Oh well,

Two things:
- In a rule very few (if any) will agree with him.
- There's a column Mike wrote for Guitar Player called "Frank", on my
website at http://www.cidanka.nl/keneally/murk.htm in which there is some
more info on the way Verve sabotaged the project.

If Verve released a triple or quad-CD version of the Zappa's
Universe shows, with the same quality as the one we have, I would be
one of the first with my dick in my hand, oh sorry, with my cash in
my pocket.
