Would you follow?

I view Twittering with smug cynicism. I recognize the spectrum of its
value from the Iranian street protests down to Ashton Kutcher's 30
millionth twit. I've even tried following one or two, for example,
Melissa Harris-Lacewell from Princeton, but found the bursts of short
messages unappealing.

I don't want to debate whether Frank would twitter (he wasn't shy
about using media and wasn't a technophobe though he would most likely
satirize it mercilessly) -- I want to take that as a given for the
sake of argument. Would you become a follower? My answer is simple:
without a doubt, without delay. (I mean, the argument presumes he's
still alive -- who wouldn't want to twit with a dead guy -- just
imagine!). And that has attenuated my cynicism -- I can empathize.

My answer is simple too. Of course not. And Frank wouldn't use it.
Twitter is almost the same shit as blogging. From dull people to
dumb-all-over people.
