I'm doing 7 daily posts on the 94 releases at the above site.

I would appreciate any input on shit I got wrong ~ important stuff I left out, etc.

This blog is for POETS, not Zappa-Freaks -- so keep that in mind.

But if I made a mistake, please let me know.

You made a bunch of mistakes. Too many to list.

Meth eh? That would explain the tweaker theme of that blog.

Instead of telling me your drinking and listening habits, how bout telling me just one example of where I went wrong. I like to learn new things.

Okay you two -- how 'bout putting your money where your mouth used to have a religion:

Tell me where I "fucked up." Like I said yesterday, I'll be thrilled to learn something new.

This is what a German musical scholar and very famous performer had to say about my posts (I won't divulge his name):

Anonymous wrote: "Really enjoyed reading this and all the following installments. I don't know a lot of the re-issues and re-shufflings and anthologies, but I do know the first 40 or 50 original albums. Can't say I agree with you on all of your evaluations, but who cares? Your infectious enthusiasm and your incredibly thorough knowledge of FZ's entire oeuvre is quite overwhelming! I came to Zappa relatively late and completely by accident, but the encounter changed my idea, as a purely classical musician, of what good music could sound like. By the way, I was at the dress rehearsal for the world premiere of "Yellow Shark" in the Alte Oper in Frankfurt, 20 plus years ago - an experience I won't forget. Anyway, you've accomplished something great here - congratulaions and thank you."

Also, please refer me to the URL where I can find YOUR awesome posts on all 94 releases. I searched and searched yesterday but could only find butt-fart posts from both of you.

Although years ago, The Old Geezer was a pretty cool guy.

I've STILL got religion! Go to the First Baptist Church every Sunday even though I was raised Roman Catholic! One tends to do that as one gets older....just in case!

Your "highlights" for AF. I believe the ONLY highlight is "Amerika Drinks & Goes Home", IMHO. BSDMI seems like "junior -high" humor now. Of course that's who FZ was trying to see albums to back then in '67. One did FZ say about "opinions"????

Why not? Who cares, then? Most likely been "made up" by you.

If that's how you want to waste you time, feel free. I've reposted many a time (much to the chagrin of many affz-ers)on my theories of the tune " Let's Make The Water Turn Black" & the pot plant photo on the back of Waka/Jawaka.

I was *never* cool. I've always been a grouchy old geezer! Even more so now that I'm retired. My musical tastes have moved on/evolved to different forms. I still listen to FZ & the MOI on occasion. Loved Howard's recent Bio (remember to return it to the Library, Lewis) & The Idiot's fine work on Frank's '88 Tour, too.

And I do applaud you for your fine effort, Lewis, but personally I think I know all I want to about FZ & his music.

In my initial post, I wrote:

After disparaging my efforts and imagining me as a meth addict, you then wrote:

I didn't ask you to waste your time reading it (by your AF reference, it seems you got at least 1/47th of the way through). I posted it here because I believe that there are at least a few folks here who might not have been exposed to some of the ideas I tried to express.

Well, since I've been away from affz for many years now, perhaps you could repost them. Your pot plant theories -- I imagine -- must be earthshaking, revolutionary new ideas about an album cover photograph that surely ties into all that wonderful music in some magical CC that will forever change my life when you tell me.

Screw you Geezer; why can't you be nice?

That one just stuck in my head the most plus I have recently been listening to AF (one of my faves!).

That's your problem, not mine.

perhaps you could repost them.

One can always do a "search".

It led to many a lively discussion here in affz. Do not criticize until you read them. One never knows. Might change one's attitude about FZ & his music. :-)

I have been nice to you. Don't you recall that I purchased your cd for $20.00 about 12/13 years ago?
