If you look up the tale on Amazon, it was allegedly in Chicago after
Apostrophe' was released. The bodyguard is not described. Most
interesting part was the cake in the restaurant in the shape of a naked
lady with champaign shooting out from between its legs..
Later that century, when Frank was in Birmingham, England, he had dinner
with Ozzy at an Indian restaurant and FZ had a steak that was as tough
as a boot.

When Ozzy mention's Sabbath's use of "The Devil's Tri-Choad" (at the
beginning of the song "Black Sabbath" off their eponymous album, he
esplains why that choard sequence is "banned in churches"! The way he
describes it is freaking hysterical!

That's what you get for ordering a steak! in an Indian restaurant. He
shoulda had the vindaloo.

I skimmed Ozzy's book. He says that he (and, IIRC, the rest of
Sabbath) was staying in the same hotel as FZ around 1974 in Chicago
(mentioning that FZ had just released Apostrophe) and was invited to
his Independence Day party when the "drugs for my bodyguard" incident
happened.

FZ did play in Normal, IL on July 3, 1974 and had a day off the next
day, or Ozzy may have been thinking of Mothers Day which FZ may have
celebrated in 1974. However, a Sabbath site doesn't have them
performing in America in May or July 74.

Ozzy says that the "steak" incident occured after FZ played at the
Birmingham Odeon. FZ played there in 1979.
