It is eight o'clock of a snowy Amsterdam morning.
For thirty minutes I am awake and I have heard "Denis" by Blondie
already TWICE !!! on the radio.
What does that mean for the rest of the day ??

But no, there were more interesting items waiting there for me: I bought
a South-African pressing of Roxy and Elsewhere !!!!
(on Discreet DSD 2202 with an Artone press cover).

Does it have Chester, George, and Napoleon in one channel, and the rest
of the band in the other channel?

Ha Ha,
Thank God there were no mono versions of this record.
The cover is printed in South Africa. And like in France they use those
horrible thin transparent inner sleeves.
But, on the label it is mentioned: Manufactured by Warner Bros. Records
Inc. Made in USA and in 1974 you didn't have any(?) racial
problems/issues....
You know "apartheid" is a Dutch word...

I wouldn't be too certain about that, as least as far as southern Africa
was concerned.

Anti-apartheid demos were alive and well in Australia, New Zealand and
the UK, especially during rugby and cricket tours. The Nederlands weren't
one of the apartheid-era rugby or cricket playing nations so I don't know
how well these were reported there.
