contains the first three Zappa/Mothers of Invention records, all
classics - Freak Out!, Absolutely Free, We're Only in It for the Money
- featuring the original Mothers of Invention: Frank Zappa, Ray
Collins, Jimmy Carl Black, Roy Estrada, Billy Mundi, Don Preston, Bunk
Gardner and Motorhead Sherwood. The individual three CD's will be
packaged in a slipcase with killer new original Cal Schenkel
(legendary FZ illustrator/fine artist) artwork. "Play the first three
Mothers albums...if you ain't hooked by then, you'll never be. If you

Threesome No. 2 collects Franks' mostly-instrumental, jazz-inflected
releases - Hot Rats, Waka/Jawaka, and The Grand Wazoo. Another
classic, Hot Rats is one of the great starting places to get into the
Zappa catalog, and features a cameo by Captain Beefheart who handles
lead vocals on Willie the Pimp, and the (then) relatively unknown
musician Shuggie Otis on the signature instrumenal track "Peaches in
Regalia." Packaged with the less widely known, but equally stunning
1972 releases Waka/Jawaka and The Grand Wazoo.

its no wonder people are buying zappa bootleg cds at a price
in excess of 100.00 for 2cd sets,yet the zft cant seem to find a

The re-releases are Ryko's work, not the ZFTs.
