RADIO STATION SILENCES SINGER WHO WATCHED BONDAGE ACT.....

From the Associated Press:
Medford, Oregon-----Country music star Tracy Lawrence has been banned
from the airwaves of KRWQ-FM after he and his keyboard player were caught
watching a couple enact a bondage scene in a Medford park.
Lawrence appeared in Central Point on July 21 as the opening act of
the Jackson County Fair. About 5:00 a.m. the next day, Lawrence, 30, and
his keyboard player, Richard Toops, 25, were walking around Medford when a
man approached them, the pair told police. The man said his wife had
always had a fantasy about having sex while bound, and asked if Lawrence
and Toops wanted to watch.
Lawrence and Toops told police they followed the 33-year-old man under
the Jackson Street Bridge and joined another man and a woman as
spectators. The four stood around as the man had sex with his wife while she
was duct-taped to a fence.
A passer-by called police, thinking the woman was being raped."When
the cops arrived, it sure appeared to be a rape scene," Deputy Chief Tom
Levine said. When police showed up, Lawrence and Toops ran away; the
officers rounded them up. After learning that the sex was consentual,
police cited the woman....for public indecency and let the others go.
Lawrence and Toops weren't charged because they didn't commit any crime,
Lavine said.
When KRWQ learned of the incident, program director Judi Austin chose
to stop playing his music.-----an informal poll of listeners
....overwhelmingly agreed with the ban. "Country music is family-oriented,
and Lawrence's antics aren't in keeping with the image that country music
wants", said morning personality Larry Neal. We're going to take a little
stand here and say, "Hey, Tracy, either clean up your act or we're not
going to support you as a country artist".........................

I'll betcha that Lonesom' Cowboy Bert woulda watched, too --------

Country music is FAMILY-ORIENTED? Awr yew SHITTIN' me? The genre that gave
the world "I Wish I Were In Dixie Tonight, But She's Out of Town" is now
FAMILY-ORIENTED?

Garth Brooks is behind this. I just know it. Next they'll be sanitizing
the soaps. Pfaugh! Corporate country still sucks.
