I've heard there are copies of the duets albums WITHOUT the other folks'
overdubs floating round on the bootleg circuit. I would so like to hear
these, as I feel the Duet albums were spoiled by many of the other singers,
(Bono for crissakes!). I'd love to hear the old man doing his thing in the
studio one last time. . . I know the voice failed him at times, but the
spirit was still there!

This is not a myth!
There are a couple of copies floating around that have some "Duet"
recordings.
First of all:
- "Duets Solo" (I扉e got the world on a string/ You make me feel so young /
I扉e got you under my skin/ Come rain or come shine / Luck be a lady / They
Can't Take That Away From Me / I扉e got a crush on you / Come fly with me /
Witchcraft / Summer Wind/ One for my baby / Guess I惻l hang my tears out to
dry / My kind of town / Lick be a Lady (with Frank jr.)/ My foolish hearth
(with Frank jr.)/ Ol惴an river/ Theme of "New York, New York" / Session Tag/
My Way)

Both "Frankly Different" Samplers have Duet material as well.

Unfortunatley I can't make mp3s of them right now. Maybe some one else can
share them with you.

Best
Michael

By the way I may explain the name I use here. Lord of the Idiots is the name
I use on Seinfeld mailinglists/NG (George Costanza: "Please, a little
respect for I am Costanza Lord of the Idiots")

I tried to change the name but it didn't work. Sorry folk!

Best
Michael

Yep!

I got it in my car CD magazine right now. It's called "Solos". It's a
bootleg that has FS ONLY studio tracks from the Duet albums. I believe
there's 15 tracks total. I can post a track list if you like. (I'd do
it now, but don't have the album cover in front of me). There might
also be a "Solos 2" out with the remaining tracks, but I have to
check.

You can try obtaining it from the International Sinatra Society.
Contact information is available on their website www.sinatraclub.com.
Sadly, they're going out of business soon so I don't know if they are
still up and running. You can also contact Rick Apt at
www.blue-eyes.com Phone or e-mail him asking for his "private
catalog".

Since Nancy got Rick arrested at the last Frank Fest he does no longer offer
any bootlegs as far as I know.
