Naked Ozzy's rage as he fights £1m jewellery robber at his home
By Nathan Yates
Ozzy Osbourne last night told how he thought about killing a burglar
who snatched £1million of gems from his home.
The raging rocker, who was naked, had the masked raider in a headlock
as he tried to escape out of a window.
Ozzy, 55, said: "I thought for a mad split second ‘I could snap your
neck like a straw'. But I couldn't kill him."
The burglar leapt 30ft from the window and fled. He was one of two men
who broke into the Buckinghamshire home at 4am yesterday.
The rocker had disturbed the 4am intruder as he rifled wife Sharon's
dressing-room for her gems collection worth more than £1million.
Wearing a ski mask, the burglar tried to escape through an upstairs
window at the Osbournes' mansion.

ROBBERY: Sharon and Ozzy
Naked Ozzy, 55, who had got up to go the toilet, pounced on him and
held him in a headlock.
He said: "He was choking, really choking. He was scared and so was I.
I didn't know if he was alone, if he had a knife or a gun.
"I thought for a mad split-second, ‘I could snap your neck like a
straw, snap it and let you fall and say it was an accident'.
"But then I just let him drop. I couldn't kill him, I couldn't live
with that on my conscience."
Among the haul was Sharon's wedding ring and a 24-carat sapphire
"survival" ring she bought after she conquered cancer.
The raider jumped, survived a 30ft fall and escaped from the
Buckinghamshire estate with an accomplice.
Ozzy looked out to see the pair making their getaway early yesterday.
He added: "All I kept seeing were his eyes in my mind. I will see them
for the rest of my life.
"It's not the money it's the memories. The moments they have taken
from my wife are things you can't buy, the things that are so precious
they are the sum of your life, good times and bad."
Sharon said: "There are three things I want back – my wedding ring, my
engagement ring and the ring I bought when I beat cancer."
When police arrived at the mansion at Seer Green, near Chalfont St
Peter, it took them 10 minutes to calm Ozzy down.
A police source said the rocker had initially screamed at the burglar:
‘I'll f***ing kill you'.
When officers arrived, he was still in a rage, with a non-stop "stream
of abuse" over the man he had held.
The source added: "He was calling him a ‘f*****g chicken.
"He was stark naked. The officers were surprised to say the least."
Ozzy and Sharon were asleep at their £5million mansion as the raid
began. The two men got in on the first floor, using a ladder and
evading security systems. The couple are living there while Sharon
appears on ITV reality show The X-Factor. Their US spokesman Jay
Marose said: "The intruder was discovered in Sharon's dressing room."
Hours before the burglary Ozzy had been at the Ivy restaurant in
London celebrating Elton John's partner David Furnish's birthday. One
of the items stolen was a Cartier watch given to Sharon by Elton for
her birthday last month.
Also taken were an Asprey diamond daisy necklace – a wedding
anniversary gift from Ozzy – and a diamond encrusted platinum watch.
The ex-Black Sabbath frontman is the latest in a line of celebrities
to be robbed.
George Harrison was brutally knifed by an intruder at his home in
Henley, Oxon, in 1999 – three years before he died.

LOTS OF HIGHS AND HIS SHARE OF LOWS
BY MEGAN LLOYD DAVIES
OZZY has faced a fair share of trials and tribulations throughout his
extraordinary life.
It was in December last year the rocker nearly died after a quad-bike
accident on his Buckinghamshire estate. He stopped breathing twice
after his bike landed on him and crushed his chest.
The former Black Sabbath frontman was saved by bodyguard Sam Rushton,
who gave him mouth-to-mouth
resuscitation. He was in a coma for eight days and had a fractured
vertebra in his neck, broken collarbone and eight broken ribs. He took
months to recover.
In July 2002 his world was shattered when told his beloved Sharon had
colon cancer. She has since made a full recovery.
But for most of his adult life Ozzy has fought a
battle with drink and drugs. He is said to have taken LSD every day
for two years and once even snorted a line of ants after mistaking the
insects for cocaine.
Ozzy was also charged with attempted murder after downing a case of
vodka and attempting to strangle Sharon. He immediately went into
rehab after pleading temporary insanity and won her back after he cut
off all his hair to show how sorry he was.
But even when Ozzy tried to overcome his addictions, things didn't
always go smoothly.
Last year it was revealed Ozzy was taking opiates, tranquillisers,
amphetamines, anti-depressants and anti-psychotic pills at the same
time.
But last month he finally celebrated six months without drink or
drugs.
He has also had tough times with his children.
Both son Jack and daughter Kelly have been treated for addictions to
painkillers
