I've been searching in vain for a photograph of Guy Burchett as in
Song For Guy. Does anyone know where I can find one?

Thanks

You can find this photo in my web site:

Take a look at photo´s LINDA WOODROW (Someone saved my life tonight)

Linda Woodrow (now Linda Hannon) was engaged to Elton John (Reggie
Dwight known to Linda as "Reg") in the 1960's. These photos were taken
for an article that appeared in the London Sunday Mirror and
publications around the world.

Thanks both of you, I can't find any reference to Guy Burchett under
Someone Saved My Life Tonight - great song, I bought the album when it
came out, which gives away my age.

I was hoping for a better quality photograph but I am very grateful to
receive this. Can you tell me:

is this Guy's mother - and if so what is her name? http://www.sendspace.com/file/g5nkxv

is this Guy himself? - http://www.sendspace.com/file/f69fc3

do you know the date of the newspaper? If so I can dig out the
original at the Newspaper Library. I'm not sure that Elton actually
knew him; the story I read is that he wrote this melancholy piano
instrumental one Sunday afternoon and learned of his death the
following day.

I thought it was a picture of Guy in the It's a Little Bit Funny picture
book
by Elton, Bernie and Nutter. In the chapter where they are visiting
Scotland, page 50... something.

Think I read it here some time ago. Sorry if I'm wrong about this.

Hi, Mr Drakman...

I don´t know the date of the newspaper, but is from 1978/79..

is this Guy's mother - and if so what is her name?http://
www.sendspace.com/file/g5nkxv

YES ! all I know is just in this article...

YES !

The hit "Song for Guy" was a tribute to Guy Burchett, a young Rocket
Records messenger who was killed in a motorcycle accident. The song
was a near-global success
