The site is a joke. In the very, very beginning....
They offered MP3 downloads of rare tracks - but that ended very soon
(they became "streaming" tracks - totally worthless, then no tracks at
all)
They gave you a decent item - like a concert CD or DVD of live
performances. Now, a hat.
They offered tickets in great locations. Though Elton hasn't played
the NY area in a while, so of no use to me.
They had more news, and Elton wrote about music he was listening to.
Now, Google News is a more convenient way to find out what EJ's
doing.
And the design is awful. The whole thing is the epitome of Elton's
lack of understanding of the internet and it's usefulness for an
artist.

I'd rather have the hat than another DVD rehash of the same ol'stuff
as last year, but maybe that's just me.

The seat locations are no longer great. For some markets (like
southern California), they were barely even "good" but for the tour
last spring they were downright awful and considerably overpriced--
which I realize is not the fault of EJ.com but still worth noting.

James, James, James, how could you forget about the oh-so-entertaining
Community Forum?! Why, that alone is worth the price of, well, free
and is ever so useful to Elton as an artist, I'm sure of it.
Anyone up for a rousing round of The Potato Game?

Hi Jack,
Yeah EJ.com is not the most exciting but its not t ooo bad. Elton is
aging so maybe it reflects his somewhat predictable
stage of career. although it looks like the Elton/Cooper shows are
very nice.
As for lame sites, i have to nominate the sneaky one called "the
things you believe you're seeing" taking a line from an elton song,
but its stuffed to the hilt with blatant stabs at anything to the left
of far right politics and social commentary.
Its attached to the crazywater site. What a snotty thing to have
included on an elton forum site. Cheap, but not surprising.
