I have uploaded the album "Tumbleweed Connection" in Surround 5.1 DTS taken
from the
retail SACD and you can download it from the following Binary Newsgroups.

alt.binaries.multimedia.elton-john
alt.binaries.sounds.dts

or you can download it as a Torrent from the following location.

http://www.demonoid.com/files/details/2171500/4896583/

The file burns to a CD just like any music CD but you will need to be able
to decode DTS to listen to it. Below are full details.

Enjoy

Recorded in the charmed period between the initial success of ELTON JOHN and
superstar extravaganzas like GOODBYE YELLOW BRICK ROAD, TUMBLEWEED
CONNECTION, a loose concept album about the American West, was a strange,
sideways move for Elton John and songwriting partner Bernie Taupin. A album
in the traditional sense, it is best heard as a piece, with songs that pick
up and expand on each other's moods and settings.Notice, for example, the
progression of characters from the young fighter waving "My Father's Gun",
to the retired and forgotten "Talking Old Soldiers", to the protagonist of
"Where To Now St. Peter?", shot down by "a sweet young foreign gun" and
ready to be judged by his maker.
The mood holds from the sepia-toned LP cover art to John's songwriting,
influenced by folk and country music and by The Band's MUSIC FROM BIG PINK.
Among the songs it introduced were "Country Comfort", which Rod Stewart
covered on GASOLINE ALLEY, and "Come Down In Time", later done by both Judy
Collins and Sting. Though the rollicking piano epic "Burn Down The Mission"
and "Amoreena" became FM-radio and concert staples, TUMBLEWEED CONNECTION
remains the only John studio album without a hit single, a fact that doesn't
affect the impact of this excellent country-rock outing.

TRACK 01 "Ballad of A Well Known Gun"
TRACK 02 "Come Down In Time"
TRACK 03 "Country Comfort"
TRACK 04 "Son Of Your Father"
TRACK 05 "My Father's Gun"
TRACK 06 "Where To Now St Peter"
TRACK 07 "Love Song"
TRACK 08 "Amoreena"
TRACK 09 "Talking Old Soldiers"
TRACK 10 "Burn Down The Mission"

Bonus Tracks.

TRACK 11 "Into The Old Man's Shoes"
TRACK 12 "Madman Across The Water (Original Version)"

Note: These tracks are remixed into surround 5.1 and encoded into DTS. They
can be played through a stand alone home theatre decoder capable of decoding
a DTS signal provided that the CD or DVD player is
connected digitally to the decoder using either a digital coaxial or digital
optical toslink cable. If the player is connected using analogue cables you
will only hear white noise and could damage your loudspeakers. These tracks
can also be played on computers with player programs like Foobar (with dts
plugin), KM Player, VLC Player, etc.

This download contains a DTS encoded WAV file of the entire album and a CUE
sheet to enable burning to CD with the correct track pointers.

Ensure both these files are downloaded to the same folder (create a folder
if you like) and DO NOT rename the files.

If you have a popular burning program such as Roxio or Nero installed it may
recognise the CUE file so just double click it to load and then burn to a
CD.

Alternatively, you can install the enclosed (Free) program "ImgBurn" and use
that.
