I am a student and a rather big Elite fan interested in principles of the game engine. All its look and features are seeming like a magic to me, considering the huge technical restrictions of the time.
I tried to dive into its assembly sources (with a debugger), but did not succeed much. Are there any people who can you answer some questions about "how it works" (I'm interested mostly in the renderer parts of the engine)? I'll be very grateful.
