Hey, welcome back! Congrats again!

I thought to myself (foolishly) that I'd spent a few hours going through
all the messages I'd missed. Ha!
Know how many there were? Two thousand! Two flippin' thousand messages!
What happened to the days when we'd get 20-30 posts a day, tops? :-)
Having flicked through the most recent two hundred:
I quite fancy the idea of being on telly, but, like Lenda says, if
people won't show because of it, it's not a good plan; I'm not that
desperate for my fifteen minutes of fame.
Polgara and Poledra acting as light source and diffraction grating: its
an idea with promise. Sadly, I missed the beginning of the thread, and
joining half way through makes life complex (this is not a call to have
it all repeated!) Personally, my theory is that Polgara has a very
similar mind to her mother's, but that it's 180 degrees out of phase
(possibly due to Poledra's animal origin?), and so the resultant
waveform is flat and therefore unperceivable. It's got holes in it, I
admit, but it keeps me happy. Perhaps the thing that allows one to
perceive another mind is emission of alpha waves? This would allow you
to see thoughts in another's mind (which is why Zandramas, say, can('t)
pick thoughts out of Garion's mind at the end of SoK), and the SuperOwl
could have a mind with only one surface, facing inward rather than
outward (something like a Klein bottle? Topologists?), and there would
then be no surface from which the alpha waves could be emitted.

Ah! Another 180-degree phase difference theory supporter! :) I rather think
that the resultant waveform is not all flat; rather, it's so unlike a human
mind (the similarities damp the waveform down to the point that it appears
like a less-intelligent being) that a mental sweep would either pick it up
as an animal (a regular owl?), or simply not notice it.

Oh, dear. That's... possible, I guess, but... weird. *shudders* I like it,
though. :)

I came along and started posting 200 articles per month of nonsense. ;)

Congratulations! Hope you didn't do anything I wouldn't do on the
honeymoon ...

Took me a week to get through even the 700-odd there were when I got
back after Easter ... have fun. :)

I'm catching up ... slowly. Arguing about EVENTs helps. ;)

Youch. That hurts just thinking about it. It's a good idea though, I
suppose it's too much to hope there _is_ a topologist out there? ;)

Then I followed her example, seeing as how she was so um..respected, yes
that word will suffice...So what I'm saying is:
It's all her fault really.

come come Ce' - you underestimate your contribution....

You're right. It was *293* articles worth of nonsense this month. ;)

"CONGRATS, AQUARIUS!!" the recently-wed Sephrenia shouted
into the wind.

Sephrenia sighed, nodding emphatically. After spending the last month
either
sick in bed, in hospital (briefly and nothing major) or nursing the rest of
her
flu-ridden family, Sephrenia bravely set off to the Forest of Dejanews to
attempt
to Catch Up. Head spinning, she returned to the Temple, with two questions
burning
in her mind...
1) did anybody miss me?
2) where the hell's Aph?
Sephrenia...
>1) did anybody miss me?
Of course, little mother (the other one). Welcome back!
>2) where the hell's Aph?
Aph's away because of RL stuff. There are people who know more about it
than me.

The answer to both: Yes, we did miss you, though not as much as we miss
Aph... (I hope, you are not overmuch unhappy now, but Aphrael _is_ our
Goddess, after all!) And yes, I don't only say that, I really did wonder,
where you were... Nice to see another familiar and sensible head back!
Yanek (Daniel)
Aaaaahhhhh... I feel a sense of nostalgia coming on, seeing as I seem to
remember guessing Sephrenia and Hunter's upcoming nuptials, and then they
actually told the group :-). It's great to know that AFE-land friends
actually have happy RL's...

Yep... was very glad to see your name among the posts again. Only just
returned again myself, but having fun so far. Dunno what's happened to
Aph.
Good to see another ol' time Aussie posting...

Why, do you perceive your own head as not familiar and not sensible? ;-P

Heheh. Preceptor's spamtrap... forgot to change it back before
sending my msgs :)

Well, you could always try getting into #eddings while I'm there. As
quite a few people there know, I currently run a chocolate shop. ;-)
