Hi Guys!
In Polgara the Sorceress Ce'Nedra wonders who Wolf (puppy that Poledra
found) is? So, does anyone know who he is? If you do, please let me
know!!
Thanx!

It had to come back sooner or later... It's just a wolf.

Umm, have I missed out on something but just a wolf doesen't really
hold water, you are trying to tell me that a wolf bowled up to the
citadel, Garion said "come in" Geran took a liking to him and he
became a pet? Give me a break!!

In a world where a simple baby goat is not what it seems (PtS) you are
trying to have me believe that this is *just* a wolf?? I have to admit
that I am a skeptic.

Err, who's gonna tell him? I've already been flamed for giving wind_whatever

(P'raps I'll just say that - for the last time - it's the pup that Poledra
found in the S of K.)

Here, have two! Actually, AFAIR they sort of inherited him from
Poledra. He was with her when she met the party in...whereever.
Anyway, according to her, "the puppy was weak and sick, so the pack
had to leave him behind. I cared for him, that´s all."

Wolf is just a wolf. He is the same one that was found towards the end
of the Mal with Poledra. He was just a pup then but he's grown in the
years between then and the end of PtS.

Geran's pet wolf is the pup that Poledra in wolf form fostered, so it was
reared by a sorceress and then taken to live in a home where at least one
of the regular inhabitants could change shape and become wolf; where
people could talk 'wolf'. Of course it was tame. It probably thought it
lived with a most peculiar pack and probably wondered from time to time
when a) Geran would become a wolf and b) when it would become a man
without the problem particularly bothering it.

But it was born into an ordinary wolf pack and there was no indication
given that it was anything other than an ordinary wolf despite its unusual
upbringing.

It does actually, ask a biologist, they'll tell you that's what the
wolf's bladder is for.

>you are trying to tell me that a wolf bowled up to the

No, we're not trying to say that's how it happened at all.
Have you actually read the Mallorean? Wolf's origins are explained
there.

>In a world where a simple baby goat is not what it seems (PtS) you are

Tell it to D&LE. They have said (IIRC?) that Wolf is just a wolf.

You are brilliant, Poledra!
That's a VERY interesting thought!
What will happen that day when the wolf change shape and become a man?

Hmmmm... sounds like an interesting debate..... I kinda thought that,
while Wolf's origins are from just wolves... (I think) He MIGHT be
just a wolf, and certainly so, if DE said so, but Poledra was born just
a wolf, and look what happened with her! It's just that it seems there
were some hints about him being something slightly more then a wolf....
Hmmmmmm.....

Well... After finally rereading some more eddings books, and doing some
more drooling over tRC, which I haven't gotten yet...(drool drool) :)
I've finally returned!

Sorry to all that I upset. I have in fact read the Mal. and am
currently re-reading it but I forgot about wolf. Sadly though, I
still do not believe that in a universe that everything is more than
skin deep that a wolf is randomly picked. As someone said, "He shows
no outward signs of anything out of the ordainary". (Or something to
that effect) Perhaps he seems to be ordanair but I don't think he is.
Perhaps I am just ranting to my self and thing out loud. No reply
needed as it will take a heck of a good arguement to convince me
otherwise <:3 )~~~~~

A vague idea I had (which I am sure you can all shoot down in flames) is that
wolf is the reincarnation of Beldaran (admittedly in a male form). This also
gets round the problem of Poledra the wolf lying (either in saying that the
cub is hers or in saying that it is not) which occasionaly gets talked about
on this ng.

I don't think Wolf is Beldaran, but that *would* be a way to get around

I was under the impression that the cub was male, even though I can愒
recall if it was specifically mentioned. Considering the fuss Grat
made about accidentally changing gender, I doubt they悲 subject
Beldaran to that..

And he seemed to sya it was just being female and having all those hormone
things that caused the problem. Being a male was clearly better. (erm I think
