Is it Blakies? Blakeys?

All I know is that they might be shoes, and sheep may well wear them.
What are they? And how do you spell it?

Bleaklies? Blacklys?

Not sure of spelling, but AFAIK Blakeys are the metal pieces with pins
that you hammer into the heel of your shoe when it is worn down.

I haven't heard Eddie talk about Blakeys - I assume that's why you're
asking, but the word prolly carries the additional comedy connotation
of the guy from On The Buses (70s British sitcom)

Blakeys as they are refered to are not shoes as such but the steel
re-inforcements you can accessorize your shoes with...... i.e the steel
toe cap and heel edges to stop the wear and tear on your lovable Doc
Martins........ Call my Bluff??
