Greetings all!
I am overjoyed to have found you all! A whole lot of other dragons to talk
to, it gets so dull only talking to the same old dragons I've known for
centuries, or humans, who can be entertaining for a while but one does get
bored. No offence meant to any non-draconian life-forms out there, if you are
reading this newsgroup you must be of the less boring variety (ie those I would
not bore of within a decade or two) >9=8}. Anyway, as you can see from my sig
(I hope! I only designed it today and I'm new to all this) my colouring is
purple. A rich, deep, glowing purple, none of that puny mauve or lilac, which
are pleasant enough on flowers or butterflies, but not at all suitable for a
dragon! Not a big, fierce, flameful dragon like me anyway! I am female (calm
down you hot blooded males! There's time enough for that, we're a very long
lived species, don't overheat yourselves!) and I have lived a very long time,
the name I am choosing to use here (one of my favourites, as I have collected
a fair hoard over the millennia) is Etruscan and means "sky". I do not know the
year of my hatching in human terms, they have used so many different systems
it would almost be confusing even for a dragon if I bothered to keep up with
all of them! As to where I lair, I am in the Midlands of England, my current
human form is 22 and typing this from Dudley, near Birmingham, but I have
another lair in Derby and I like to travel around randomly too, Wales is nice,
if you don't mind the wet. Anyway, this is getting too long, I do get a bit
carried away, especially with the enthusiasm of talking to new dragons for the
first time in centuries. Any replies joyfully received (please, please talk to
me, pleeeeeease, I'm sooo lonely!).

Greetings Falado.

I don't remember ever seeing any Purple dragons before, which is
odd considering that though I lair near London I used to Lair in
Birmingham many human-years past.

Wyrm.

Welcome welcome! I'm Red, a young white dragon who also subscribes to this
group. It's a great place to find other dragons living in your area.

Dear Falado:
I feel strange welcoming you as I am a new member as well.
I'll do it anyways, Welcome to our Dominance. Purple is such an
unusual colour, I love it!
Oh small warning, when you come in, watch you don't step on
my tail it gives an electric charge. I try to keep it close to my
body, but you know these things.

Greetings youself and welcome to this Dominance of Dragons (we should

Well, you found the right place to cure your loneliness. :)

Greetings to you also, I am delighted to see so many dragons awakening
in the British Isles (it is especially nice to see another female). I
currently lair near the city humans call Norwich, in the east of the
country, the area is nicely foggy, if a little flat.
No need to feel lonely any longer.

It worked! I got REPLIES!!! Happy, joyful greetings to Qing Lung and to sister
Shinewing! (Also to anyone else who replied but I haven't recieved yet, funny
things these newsgroups.) I recently had a temporary lair in Durham, very close
to Newcastle where my human form was studying at the University and I sometimes
fly over and see how things are going there, we'll have to look out for each
other Qing Lung! I assume you live somewhere very cold, being an Icedragon,
Shinewing, while I am a fire breathing dragon, I can survive happily in
freezing places and think they are very beautiful, maybe I could fly over and
pay you a visit sometime, I think it would be fun to visit all my new dragon
friends!!!

MORE replies!!!!! *big huge grin nearly splitting face in half* *whole body
quivers with delight* *spontaneous burst of flame sent scorching into the night
sky to announce happiness to the whole world*. Love and *hugs* to Drameth,
Marayong (glad you liked my sig!), Ysult, Misty (Farbilanzar) and Qing Lung
again. Thank you all for making this dragon sooo happy! Ysult, my human form has
arthritis, I don't think it can spread to my dragon form, since this should
fall into your area of study, could you maybe allay my worry? Farbilanzar is a
good name, do you know what it means? I am interested in the meaning and
derivation of names. Marayong, I notice you are from Australia, is your name
derived from the Aboriginal by any chance? Maybe it would be interesting to
start a thread on this subject if anyone else is interested? Drameth is
obviously a Pernese name, and Qing Lung Oriental (I seem to recall something on
the FAQ about Oriental dragon names, Ysult I don't know though. Anyway, this
message is getting long again, so: Big, squidgy *hugs* to all draconian spirits!

EEK! I'd say that crash was a bit of a head banger.. misspellings and typoes can
be ignored, but this dragon just... erm, what's the word? just can't imagine
misspelling a name...
*hug* yet get some rest, you seem to be needing plenty of it... care for some soup?

****days later Drameth finds a nice sized cow and only ashes are left****

Tune in tomorrow for more stories of Drameth trying to fill his part of the deal...
