It has been at least three hundred years since I last spoke to one
of my own kind. I must say that this is a pleasure indeed.

My name is Pyrite. And I believe I am one of the last of the
Albino Dragons. We are a small breed. Sizing about two feet from nose to
tail. And our skin is purest white, with eyes of bright pink.

Currently I am typing to you through one of the computers that I
have learned to use in the library where I live. During the day I sleep
high up in the rafters, but at night I come down and read. And lately, I
go digging into this realm of computers, seeking others of my kind.

It seems my search has not been in vain. For we are a crafty and
resourceful lot, and I figured that if I was doing it, then somebody else
had to be too.

It's good to see all of you here. Perhaps one day we will take to
the skies once again, neh?

Well, time for yet one more welcome it seems...
I welcome you with an open heart and open mind, welcome my dragon friend to ALT.FAN.DRAGONS!

Well met Drameth. I am a dragon of the male persuasion. What
part of the globe are you currently residing in? Right now I'm in Ottawa,
Ontario, Canada. Not the most glorious place for a dragon to spend his
time, But I stay in the Library most of the time, so the weather never
really gets to me. Perhaps that's why, after all these years I'm still an
Albino dragon, neh?

Oh me? wow, someone talking to me? j/k ;)
my lair w/ my rider is in Phoenix, Arizona, USA... USA being the place where a single phrase can get
Connie Chung and a few people into a ton of trouble and arguements. ;-> I wish some dragon would
have a stomach strong enough to handle her... well, second hand, keep her alive for now... I think,
not sure if that's wise but I'll take the 'safe' route for now...
Glad to know that there are so many dragons in one area such as yours... be it my luck to have found
out that there tis another dragon, Black Lace/Black Velvet, in my area... be it about 10 miles or so from
my lair really.. hard to see with these mountains between the lairs, but I like my lair, next to solid rock mountain
I live just a bit north of it, say a minutes lazy flight to it...

Welcome to our "dominance" mighty Pyrite! I am Shinewing and it
appears that we are both in Ottawa! How odd, two white dragons in a
city of snow and Ice! You have to love it! You don't happen to be a
student in human form do you? I can be found at Carleton University.

Greetings to all and sundry! Our dominance of dragons is growing by
leaps, bouds, and transcontinental flights!

To all of those who've joined in the last few days, = G R E E T I N G S !
=

I'm sorry that I haven't been able to greet each and every one of you
individually, but there has been such a flurry of activity here. What's
more, I have to attend to the storm system here in California...

I'm trying to keep track of most of you (no, I'm not "in charge"--I'm just
the drake who decided to start the Census). If any dragons, dragon-kin,
or dragon-friends out there think that you've been left off the Census,
please, drop me e-mail (bjs...@aol.com) with your data. This is the
format that I'm using:

<Name> of <Territory>: <Gender> <Breed>, hatched <date of hatching>

A new Census should be popping up here as soon as my human associate
finishes mucking about with my computer system...

Softly and Suddenly Vanishing Away...
Your Obedient Serpent,
