While watching Sailor Moon on Toonami, I saw a commercial for DBZ. It's
premering Aug. 31st on CN, and I was wondering if anyone knew when it would
air. Also, if it will start from the beginning or continue where it left off
last season.

From what I've been told, I can tell you that Cartoon Network actually only
owns the rights to broadcast the first season of FUNimation's English dub of
DragonBall Z.

I do know that FUNimation's been dubbing a third season, but I do not know (as
of right now) who the new distributer is. They should have announced it by
now, if there was one. As much as the dub tends to sicken me at times, it IS
some form of DBZ, and it would be great if it could just start right where it
left offm back in syndication on FOX/WB/etc.

This question was answered in detail by a claimed confirmed informant. The
information is posted under the topic thread of: "Next weeks episodes" on this
newsgroup. Look for it. One of the postings will tell you what episodes they are
going to air, and when they are going to air it.

I think something's wrong...

This 82 is a majic number for CN. If anyone here watches Robotech, I
believe that they were only showing 82 episodes (I am almost positive
of that number). This, as you might know, is not the number of the
complete series of eps. I am afraid the same fate may await Dragon
Ball Z.

Opinions....?

i tihnk robotech is 82 episodes total.... your thinking about SM that has 82!
and yes we know that robotech has the first 2 shows but not the "invid" :(
Voltron does have the first season so that's good :) CN also got all the
thundercat episodes :) IT also common sesne if they havn't dubbed the whole
serries OF COURSE IT WON'T AIR ALL EPISODES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But WE ARE
VERY LUCKY CN HAS DBZ,SM,Robotech,VOLTRON AND THUNDERCATS........ LET ALONE
the fact THEY ARE GETTING NEW EPISODES OF BOTH SM AND DBZ(note the new sm
episodes are those 17 episodes that first apeared in Canada)..... Plus At
least I made a campaign and did something about it! Now if only i can get
some empty tapes before.....

> Opinions....?

So i didn't know everything but atleast i didn't start or be involved with
rumors! ALL MY SOURCES ARE DIRECTLY FROM CN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Correct me if
I'm wrong but i tihnk i either started the campaign or helped make it happen
early on! I think over 5 and a half month's ago.... One more thing: I think
it is not only SUPERB THAT THRY have both DBZ and SM but they will also air
new episodes! I know when somethign can't be done but I give it my best and
never complain about it, I'm too happy just to watch it once more......

TV shows usually have about 26 to 27 episodes(give or take) a
year. There were 26 episodes the first season and 27 the fsecond
seaon for a total of 53 sp this means there will be 29 new
episodes if i did the math right... so it isnt really a magic
number.

This is kind of like how people get technicall with how long a show must
be. There must be so many episodes for one season, so that it can be
pretty much figured out. TV standard for a show length is 28 minutes and
30 seconds. Some stations like to adjust that for commercials, but 28:30
is the standard.

Just bored out of my mind.
