What was cut out in today's episode when Lunch is held at knife-point and
sneezes and we see a close-up of her face? The picture was cropped for some
reason.

Today's edits, from my half-assed edit list...

049: "Roshi Surprise" -- "Ayaushi Ranchisan"
- Kamesennin in the bathroom scene MUCH longer (imagining Ranchi in a towel,
nosebleed, etc)
- Kamesennin preparing to massage Ranchi's "front" before she shoots at him
- Gun edited from dude's hand, some missing shots at gunpoint (to lazy to edit
gun...)
- Overhead view of the island prolonged to cut shot of dude's face/gun
- Some shots of Bad Ranchi attacking the dude to escape after transformation
- Ranchi and Kamesennin walking away from the dude on the ground (she gives him
the finger)

Sometime between notebook paper and Notepad, my brain died, and I typed up
everything except the one cut you'd actually asked about. So...

- Overhead view of the island prolonged to cut shot of dude's face/gun,
followed by
severely zoomed in shot of Ranchi (to cut out gun pointed at her)

Oh yeah, I remember that...

They also screwed up the dialogue for when Mutenroshi finds that lone RR
soldier, as I recall their dialogue was something like "You wanna join your
friends?"
I like the original dialogue, "You. Get all this junk off my island..."

I was wondering about that myself.
Oh geez, now why would they cut *that*
out, yet show the rest of the guys pointing
guns at Roshi and Lunch? Doesn't make

I thought it was a knife that was pointed at her.

Which still doesn't answer the question. Why is a knife so much worse than
a gun? I mean, it's not like the villians are firing "blasters" or
anything. They're guns.

I guess they're worried that kids could get hold of a knife much
easier than they could a gun and use it to reenact scenes from the
show.

Yet again a production company is forced to cover it's own ass to
avoid becoming a magnet for lawsuits from the families of
knife-weilding preteens looking for someone to blame for their own bad
parenting.

<shrugging> Guess it makes sense to those
who are trying to control us. Tell us what we
can handle and can't. Sad, very sad.

Who knows *what* we'd get if the censors took
a poll of parents to see what they'd allow their
kids to view.

More proof that the governments of the world are trying to raise vast
flocks of human sheep.

LOL! Probably not. But then again, they'd have
to get rid of all *our* cartoons as well...Bugs
Bunny, Tom and Jerry, etc-etc. Even more
outrageous violence in those.

Ever hear of the 'racist' Bugs Bunny cartoons that Cartoon Network
refused to re-show recently?

Apparently one of them featured Bugs being chased by a huge
stereotypical black man (you know, small eyes, big red lips, big hands
with white palms, etc. etc.), whom he distracted with plates of fried
chicken and watermelon (IIRC) and a dollar bill dangling on a stick...

No, I didn't hear about that. But I *have* seen that
character before several times. <sigh>

Maybe they should create a separate Cartoon Network
for adults...then again, some would probably whine about
the same stuff anyway.

There is also the stereotypical Japanese character (who doesn't really
get seen too often these days either) with slanty eyes, thick glasses,
'me so sowwy' accent and who walks with a stoop.

I'm pretty sure that they would, even if they put warnings out
beforehand. I'm sure some people watch programmes that they know in
advance will offend them, just so that they get the chance to complain
and write angry letters...

Yup, seen him, too.

Some people just have nothing better to do than
to complain. Makes them feel useful or powerful
or some shit, I dunno.

Probably something to do with sexual inadequacy, as I'm sure Freud
would say.

Freud, now *there's* an interesting fella. Did some
research on his theories in the midst of discussing
Scientology with Velvet. The guy thinks *everything*
stems from sex.

Yes, according to my PSY101 book. It said he was "Yet he was a model of
